I need to forward ports on my router to connect to the Playstation network. I am confused of how to enter the numbers. TCP ports required: 80, 443, 5223, and 10070-10080
UDP ports required: 3478, 3479, 3658, and 10070. which numbers do youy put in the starting port and ending port.
If you do that, then your programs that need to receive connections from the internet on your other computers might not work properly.
If you're going to choose such a broad range of manual ports (i.e. everything from 80 to 10080) to forward, then you might as well put the PS3 in the DMZ and avoid stepping all over your other computers. Or read my FAQ for other, better solutions.
no incorrect because I have a very secure and steady connection to psn no lags on ps3, no stepping on any other devices on the network, and no bottle necking
trust me I know what I am talking about.
No, you don't. Opening over 16,000 ports just for the PS3 is a little dumb.
