I have had the same problem for the last few days. Upon calling SONY they gave me the response; "Well ours is working so just try and stay off the store until we figure it out."
And the clincher Ontario, Rogers
It's a port forwarding issue. I narrowed it down by plugging the wire directly into my modem and the PS Store loaded up fine. I'm on the phone with tech support for my router and going to open specific ports. The firm ware must have screwed it all up as I didn't have to do this before.
I'll let you all know. Basically, it is our routers and not our ISP's.
The fact that Sony has been aware of this issue for the past couple days, and hasn't even mentioned anything about it in their blogs, just goes to show how unprofessional they are. It's just like before when we had the PSN outage, we didn't hear anything from Sony for days..................
It's 100% the router but I forwarded all the ports as well as made an exception with my firewall and it does nothing. I can't fix it and the tech support for Sony is no help because as far as they are concerned, it isn't their problem since it works with a direct connection not using the router.
I'm at a loss for words right now. Basically, we can't do anything.
Lovely... I can't hook mine directly to the modem so I'm pooched until Sony does something OR enough people have issues and it gets picked up by blogs, websites or the press... so basically were screwed... good news is im seeing leaks about a new xbox... hey microsoft is bad BUT sony is in a class of there own when it comes to support and security...
Same problem here. From Ontario and have Rogers.
Both Sony and Rogers suck.
same here, i'm with Rogers in Ontario. I haven't been able to connect to the store since yesterday. This is ridiculous.
