Re: PlayStation Plus New Updates and Information

I actually like the 1GB Cloud Saves upgrade! I thought maybe 500MB would be the upgrade size, but 1GB is outstanding. That leaves plenty of space even for PS4 game saves.

Re: PlayStation Plus New Updates and Information

PS4 what PS4 it will be at least 2014 before anything even comes out about the next system. If it was coming sooner it would have been at E3, Sony has always talked about a 10 year cycle and they always do a little overlap but not that much. And don't be surprised when you have to buy a new service for it and it don't play ps3 games. They will resale those on their store after the system is out for awhile. Also there is alot of talk about locking out used games on the next round of systems. Im sure that is coming down the pipe before to long anyways.

Re: PlayStation Plus New Updates and Information

My guess is 2015 and yeah used games are going goodbye in the next few years. A lot of company's are already doing this by selling the online codes to recoup cost on used software. I wont be surprised when the next systems are all download and don't even have a disk drive in them. But the retailer I work at sells a lot of used products and are already talking about how to survive when used games get locked out they tend to think its coming this generation I think it will be the next though.

Re: PlayStation Plus New Updates and Information

2015 is a good guess and I know used games are a short lived problem, most company's are zeroing in on getting rid of the used game market. A download only system could bring the current price of games down and open the market up for smaller company's that can't get the distribution that say Ubisoft or EA has.

[ Edited ]

The 1gb was annouced at GamesCom, confirmed by the NorthAmerica blog and blogcast.

I believe the last word is this month.

"If you can find a PS3 anywhere in North America that's been on shelves for more than five minutes, I'll give you 1,200 bucks for it." - Jack Trenton
"Backwards compatibility, as you know from PlayStation One and PlayStation 2, is a core value of what we believe we should offer. And access to the library of content people have created, bought for themselves, and accumulated over the years is necessary to create a format. " - Phil Harrison
"I'm sure some readers seldom get past the grades/stars. That's a major problem. As a reviewer, you hope that people at least consider your reasoning, and, beyond that, that they're informed and entertained by what you've written." - Bob Denerstein, Film Critic
