Re: Official PlayStation Plus Update Thread (Updated 1/3)

Hey Scary,

Would you be more likely to subscribe to Plus if you could pay for it monthly via smaller monthly payments, rather than the $50 all up front? Just curious.

We've got some interesting ideas incoming that will be similar. We won't be porting the Plus Lounge from EU in the NA Home however. At least not that I know of.

Re: Official PlayStation Plus Update Thread (Updated 1/3)

I liked the monthly update better, that way I know exactly what and when to expect it. In example this was updated 1/3/12 and it says on there that it would be updated weekly, so there is no update for 1/10/12 and today is 1/13/12.

To answer your question, No I ranter pay the whole year for $50.00 then smaller monthly payments. You pay it once a year and don't worry about it till a year later. I have too many bills to track and don't need any more worries.

Thanks.

Re: Official PlayStation Plus Update Thread (Updated 1/17)

I have a question...how do i upload all my game content(trophies, game data saves, etc.) into the cloud?  I have an old PS3 and I want to put all that info onto my newer PS3 so that I don't have to start games from the beginning.  I know that my PS2 games cannot transfer over as the newer consoles aren't backwards compatible so, I purchased Playstation Plus so that I could have the cloud for transfer purposes.  I just don't know how to do it and where to find it.

150 MB of cloud saves seems kind of week - the kind of folks that want this are likely to play a lot of games. My PC game save backups only go back a few years (circa Mass Effect) and I have 768 MB compressed. Pretty sure most people play more games than me.

I am sitting on the fence re: PSN+  ...maybe offer up some more compelling cloud features.

It's only $50 but I am spendthrift.

A spendthrift is someone who spends with out much thought to their purchases, maybe you should say that you are thrifty.

You have to back up each save individually.  Go to the save data utility, hit triangle on the save, and copy to cloud.  Trophies just need to be synched (check them from the XMB, or triangle then sync).  Not sure what you mean about PS2 games; PS2 classics can be played on any PS3.  PS2 saves can be stored on any PS3 as well.  PS2 discs wouldn't be on your HDD to back up.

Re: Official PlayStation Plus Update Thread (Updated 1/24)

The update for February is looking really good.  Simpsons arcade new and free .  Just cause 2 I always wanted to try.  FFV I have, but never finished, so now I can try on PSP also.

Nice - I don't have the Simpsons or Far Cry 2, and while I do have FFV, it is always nice getting a digital copy.  Just hope Vita get PSOne compatibility soon.  The Sega games ... already had them via PS+, but I guess Sony has to recycle every now and then.

Yes, I meant Far Cry 2...I'd like to try Just Cause 2 sometime also .  The Sega Games and other "bonuses" are a nice way of getting new subscribers; as long as they aren't doing it in place of new free content, I think it's a great idea.
