Like I said, looks like getting ranks approved is nothing.
edit: King beat me.
I think as long as people have community based events the CM staff here is pretty cool about making custom ranks for participation rewards. Seems so anyway from my perspective .
My Forum use is primarily confined to the Social Gaming Platform of Playstation Home. I was surprised when they eliminated the Home specific GUIDE ranks for individuals commited to "in world" assistance in Home. Those recognized users now carry the generic MVP status. The Guide rank was associated with MVP type status within the Home platform. I felt the rank helped identify users with Home specific experience. Mini games in that platform are now releasing almost weekly. Maintaining a working nowledge within Home requires constant participation "in world". I do hope the Halloween ranks return this year. That was a fun surprise. Due to the limited seasonal nature of those, a wider variety and more frequent rank change would be welcome.
They were trying to make the HCVs and MVPs all uniform in appearance on the forums and also were making some changes to the MVP program that made it better overall, for Sony, to make the HCVs MVPs. They are still the same people as they were before though so you shouldn't be too worried about that .
I forget what the name of the rank was but before the switch to Jive, the mods released the ranks publicly. Only one person ever reached the final rank and that was Shogun, who was a mod. The running joke was that he achieved all those posts for moving, deleting, issuing warnings and so on.
Bring back the colored names!!!!!
