PlayStation 3 firewall?

3 replies 2356 views Edited Jan 10, 2007
Does PS3 have one? I'm starting to believe it doesn. Any tips on how to disable it?

I opened all my ports I need, even put it on DMZ! And still, utter crap. This console is 7th generation and it can't play correctly online!? BS!

Get a popular router that has a company that puts out decent firmware updates.  D-Link

The PS3 has no firewall.  The firewall issues you are having are coming from your router.  You have the same problems I had with my Belkin router.  I called them and told them my problems and they sent me a new one.  I tried everything, static IP assignments, DMZ, ports you name it.  My router firewall wasn't responding to what I wanted it to do.  But instead of using Belkin, I got a Linksys and now my PS3 works fine.  When I get my new Belkin, do you want to buy it?
