People need to stop

Predicting the Vita's future based on JAPAN'S sales.

Just because it sold less than 10,000 (which is disappointing) doesn't mean it's doomed.

Dont worry about what people are saying.

Just enjoy your Vita and don't listen to the negativity. There are alot of Sony haters

I agree completely. I never really looked forward for the Vita selling well in Japan simply because they are still recovering from the tsunami.

Lol. Wow. Still doesn't explain the fact that PSP devices are selling better than the Vita.

And yet the 3DS is still selling very well (KH3DS sold 210,000 copies last week).

And as Septantrionalis pointed out, the PSP is still outselling it.

So honestly, I don't see how a tsunami would only affect VITA sales (and not Sony sales, since the PSP still does well).

I think it is the price.

The Vita starts at $250 where the 3DS is $169 and the PSP is $129.

So maybe the people in japan do not have that much money to spend on a Vita.

Why do you care so much about sales...

...and why do you care about what I care.  Just pointing out the obvious.

Re: People need to stop

The only problem with the Vita is that majority of the good launch titles did not come with online multiplayer to create longevity between launch and post-launch games.  People have been "spoiled" or "adapted" or "accustomed" to playing the single player campaign, beating it, then moving on to the online multiplayer to give at least some replay value.  Once we have finished these games, we have no where else to go with them unless we are waiting for some DLC (Escape Plan) or maybe trying to get a Platinum Trophy... but once thats finished (which takes no time at all) the system is put down to rest for a few months until more games start coming out instead of us being able to continually play them like we should.......
