Pandora or youtube apps integration into XMB?

5 replies 219 views Edited Jan 29, 2012

I think with the number of apps we have compared to xbox is sad. Xbox has higher quality apps. They have youtube and last.fm in their dashboard's, why cant we? Pandora and youtube is availible in the browser but the quality of video is horrible. Music unlimited is great, but not everyone wants to pay for a service when people have a free one that is more widely known. Youtube XL gets the job done in the browser but should become something greater. It needs to have a higher resolution for a console capable of "High Deffinition" Please give us more apps like pandora and youtube, i dont care if i have to pay a fee for the apps just publish them. Thank You.

Because Sony would have to pay those sites to have them on the PS3. And I have a feeling that if you were forced to pay for them, you'd raise all holy hell. The PS3 has NFL Sunday Ticket, NHL Live, MLB TV, and now the college sports application. Those are all huge draws for many consumers, especially Sunday Ticket. So there are "apps", but they're not the ones that many "gamers" may like.

This has been suggested before, but you can post it to the BlogShare site.

I definitely think that Sony should put Youtube and Pandora or iHeartRadio in the XMB as an app. It would be great.

Hopefully Sony will announce something at E3 about adding an integrated internet radio app to the PS3...
