After the launch of the PSVita in Japan, owners are reporting freezing and spots on the screen.
Despite this, I'll undoubtedly be buying a PSVita in Febuary, assuming this is fixed by the time it launches
what are your thoughts on the matter?
Keep in mind, most systems have hardware flops at launch, which are later fixed (I'm looking at you 360 -__-)

I read about this earlier. It's to be expected that there will be issues with the launch of any console. This isn't going to put me off at all since they do tend to fix these things before we get them as you said. It does make you glad we get it a couple of months later though

No console launch is perfect.
And yea, I was kinda sad about having to wait, but after seeing this, I'll be able to sit back with my PSVita in a few months and not have to worry

That is one reason I am concerned about not being able to remove the Vita's battery. My Droid X locks up every once in a while and the only way to fix it is by removing the battery.
But, the Vita is still a day one purchase for me.

i know right, now im actually glad that the vita is releasing next year. I would be pretty upset if I got one and experienced these problems. Even though Japan gets it first, that doesnt necessarily mean its good. we have the advantage

so this is going to be just like the psp problems. ah I had a brake from Internet to find out this oh joy. no it is not stopping me from getting the ps vita at launch.

Like issues on launch are that big of a deal.
The Galaxy nexus launched with a volume bug.
The 3DS has a loose hinge and the bottom screen scratches the top screen (on some, not all)
My Alienware m14x has a known issue with the microphone sounding boxy.
If the Vita launched flawlessly, i'd be surprised.

Actually, gamecube. Yes, but freezing is probably due to overuse of the system. Instead of multiple programs open, why not just use 1? RedSunGamer froze on him cause he was using 5 programs at once. Of course its going to freeze.

my only concern is the spots on the screen.
