Spots? You mean grease smudges? If so you could just buy Phillips electronic screen cleaner. No static created etc. Great for any electronics. Probably best just to use a stylus instead of using your fingers. Less screen blockage, less grease smudge, easier to see.

Probably referring to dead pixels, not dirt.

Sony apologized and released an update patch to fix the freezing issue for the Vita.

Yea same here. The firmware can be updated, which would fix the other problems, but those smudges on the screen look really..nasty. I dont think its on the surface of the screen either because they could have easily wiped them off.

Edit: Still getting a vita at launch
