PSP Go USB audio problem

1 replies 178 views Edited Apr 19, 2011

Hi guys, I recently got a PSP Go used and it's been good so far until I started to notice something with the audio. It didn't come with the original charger (usb/ac) so I had to get one from gamestop (a universal usb cable). What I noticed is that everytime I plug the cable to the PSP, it acts as if a headphone was being used (starts giving me audio options: pop, metal, jazz etc.) when it goes in this mode i can no longer hear any sounds. This can be a problem when I'm trying to play a movie/game while it's being charged. Has anyone experienced this before? Oh and this is without even plugging it to a PC. Any help will be appreciated!

Turns out it was the actual cable I bought at gamestop and not the psp itself (thank god!). Yesterday I picked up the sony branded one and it didn't give me any problems. So stay away from that gamestop brand USB chrager cable if you have a psp go.

damn, I should've read those reviews before buying it lol
