I got a $50 card for Christmas and figured I would just extend PS+ since the 1year +3month is still there.
So, I too was looking for a answer about stacking and wanted proof from Sony's before I purchased another 1 year +3 month subscription.
This is the official response I got from Sony:

|Hello,We apologize for any inconvenience that has been caused by the conflicting information you have received at different places. The subscription would extend to 12/19/12 if you purchase the 12+3 months, or any other amount would just add to what you already have. Please feel free to write us back with any other questions you might have in the future.|
So I redemed my $50 into my wallet. Purchased the 1year +3month subscription. Had $0.01 left in my wallet and my service extended 15months..
I know others have confirmed it also, but I wanted to again clearly confirm they can be stacked for those that were nervous with conflicting answer.
(I wouldn't purchases a bunch at once, who knows if that would confuse the system?)
I wish we knew how long that 3 free month deal was going to last.
I was going to add that I may just stack this weekend, and tell my wife that is her V-Day present to me, that way she does not have to put out on Monday. Figured that would be classified as too much info and could confuse the kids. Besides, I do not want to actually bring the attention of the mods to this board. It would suck monkey balls if mods actually started looking at PS+ posts ...
The 3 month deal was supposed to end a long time ago lol. That's why I bought Playstation Plus so early. It's okay though because it is still worth it. Why did you extend your service so early? I've got until October 2011 to renew. I'll gladly do it then.
jpb - Wow, a 42" TV, huh? I guess I am getting screwed, although I just wrote that I would waive my "rights" on Monday, but I digress. I guess I need to rethink this whole thing ...
BTW, what type of TV? I can live vicariously through your post!
@ScreamAimFire999 - I'll stack early because adding more PS+ time at $3.33/month is a good deal. Plus I would like to do some Rewards Beta testing ... but that is a different thread.
