I tried the WINS solution you suggested but unfortunatly it didn't work, I still got booted with 2ad23. I decided to unhook the computer entirely and still got it, so that rules the computer out as the problem. Do you have any other suggestions you think might work?
I just recently began having this issue too! My connection has been flawless this whole time until just 2 nights ago, I keep getting signed out of PSN when trying to play a quick game of MK vs DC
I'll sign it, then it signs off within a minute later... I haven't done anything different with settings/connections/etc, just suddenly started
I thought I got banned at first, but after reading this thread looks like its a common issue, lets hope it gets resolved (Although the 1st post was made 1.5 years ago, I somehow doubt itll get resolved or even looked at heh)
I used to have this problem...I switched all PC's in my house to a static IP address and have not had a problem since.
Here's a link if you want to try this http://corz.org/comms/hardware/router/static.ip.address.php
This problem started happening a little, but last week it just hit hard and hasn't let up. I have tried everything short of sending the damn PS3 to the repair shop. For my internet connection, I actually do not use a router. My building has a direct connection to the internet through a series of hubs.. My PS3 is connected through a couple of hubs. I called them and they said everything is ok, although I don't believe them too much.
I did read were certain signal strengths has to be within certain parameters. I doubt the idiots checking the internet checked that out.
The hubs don't have firewalls, dmz's or ports. Incidently, I substituted the local hub with another hub and a wireless router. Nothing I have read over the last week has been helpful.
I did read that replacing the PS3 network boards will cost around $100 plus all the shipping costs. Since this thing will be three years old this year, I am considering buying another. However, I am afraid of getting the same issue with a new PS3, i.e., the problem is my internet connection and not my PS3.
What a pain in the butt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yh i am experiencing the same problems with my PS3 slim (on wireless) now and then and especially in the middle of FIFA10 or uncharted2 is a pain in the backside.....
reading other posts made me realise a correlation between my laptop being in use (internet on wireless) and when i've been online! so I reckon it's got something to do with the IP conflict, I should change both my laptop and PS3 to something totally different and reply to this post to see if this would be the solution
