PSN AVATARS!

30 replies 4709 views Edited Nov 21, 2010

Where are all the cool avatars for ps3? Oh yeah, there aren't any. Why the hell don't they take 5 minutes to throw in a couple cool game based avatars? Oh yeah, sure there are a few but come on, they can do better.

I agree that there are only some avatars available that are worth using. It would be great if Sony were to give users more avatars, especially better ones or if they give users the ability to use a custom avatar based on pictures from the PS3 HDD!

Shall we play a game?

Custom avatars will never become a reality for the sole reason of keeping the PlayStation Network aesthetically pleasing. Could you imagine all the hideous avatars out there if it ever came to light? *shudders*

not only that but custom avatars people would use all kinds of images whether its nudity, copyright, violent etc. and sony would have tons of complaints as to why would you let your users use that as an avatar

personally im happy with the avatars i mean there just avatars they dont affect gameplay or anything

I have the same complaint about these avatars. In my opinion, Free Avatars only have a few gems in a sea of dog turd and Premium Avatars are just... Argh....

Some of the premium avatars have been nice, and the key word is "some". The Heavy Rain avatars have horrible white halos around them that could have easily been remedied with any photoshop program. And check this gem out.

See that bottom left corner? It doesn't take a genius to crop it out of the avatar.

But just think of the XBL avatars. Doesn't seem that hard to throw in something like that even if it does cost a couple bucks on PSN. But yeah I see what your saying about the custom avatars, look at some of the customizable black-ops emblems.
