PS4 suggestions

25 replies 518 views Edited Mar 14, 2013
I would like to start this thread to let Sony know what we want in the new system. My Idea for the new system is a Multi-disk changer. Like those old DVD players. It seems like they dont make very many of those anymore so I dont know if there was a problem with those but I know that I hate having to get up to change the disk. Please suggest some other things you think sony should include.

This again? Is it too much to ask for you to get off the couch one in a while? Lazyness is not a valid reason.

I started this to try and generate some ideas for the new system. Stuff that the users want. I want a multi disk changer, what would it hurt? Do you understand that probably 80% of video game players are lazy? If you think its a bad idea then give me a valid reason why, otherwise, please get off this thread.

OK multi-disc changer is a bit much. Would hate for it to jam then all my discs will be stuck inside.

That aside I would like to see frame rate of 60fps or better on all games at a resolution of 1920x1080p. I hate it when the game gets blurry when panning left and right. Take COD vs BF3, COD framerate looks 10x better than BF3. Even though BF3 Gameplay blows COD out of the water.

I made this, want one for yourself? PM me

More moving parts = More room for mechanical failure.

I appreciate the criticism, that's the kind of thing I wanted. I wouldn't want the disk changer if it didn't work. If Sony could develop a reliable system that wouldn't get your disks stuck and wouldn't break easily I would like to have some way of not having to always get up to change games

Aside from potential mechanical issues, the fact that the video game industry seems to be creeping slowly away from physical media altogether would indicate that a multi-disc changer would be an unnecessary gamble.

If you don't want to have to get up to change discs, perhaps buying games digitally would suit your needs better.

As for ideas for the new console, we are talking about the PS5, right?  I'm pretty sure it's a little late in the game for ideas that require hardware implementation concerning the PS4.

I would like to see a fast internet browser on the ps4. Ps3 broswer is freaken slow, cant watch any video online without it lagging/buffing all the time. Ps3 browser is pretty much useless, even with comcast high speed internet.

i think sony should push psn plus more so it like the sega channel, lots of great titles for small monthly fee instantly that you can stream to ps4 instantly. would be a huge pull for the value cautious casual 'mom and pop' consumers, who doesnt want the tivo of games!
