PS4 USB port problem?

[ Edited ]

I had my PS4 since November of 2013 and I've hardly been playing it. I've recently started to play it more, but for some reason my controller won't hold a charge when it connects to the PS4. It will only charge to a wall outlet.

Also, my girlfriend just bought me two new controllers as a gift, but these controllers won't hold a charge to either the wall or the PS4. I can't even use them because the PS4 won't recognize the controllers wirelessly or through the cord. Anyone know why?

I was thinking that maybe theres a problem with the USB ports.

Yup sounds like a USB issue, have you tested other USB type of devices to see it they respond? If they don't work call Sony for a replacement.

Have you tried to plug in another usb charging cable to see maybe it's the cable itself? If anything call customer service.
