I just upgraded my PS4 Hard Drive to a 1.5 TB. I was wondering if I could use my 500GB PS4 stock drive in my PS3, is it compatible? I currently have a 120GB PS3 and am running out of space. Thanks for any help.

Yes you can use it in the PS3. It's compatible.
You'll have to reformat it first, but, yes, it should work.
They may not even have to format it first. The PS3 may do it for them. The older ones did. Not sure about the more recent models.
I dont know why ppl keep asking, will this HDD work on my ps3/4. Any/All HDD that are 2.5" and 9.5mm height, will work on the ps3/4. The ps3/4 use standard laptop HDD. Brand name doesnt matter, doesnt matter where you get it from or what company makes it. If its a 2.5" HDD with 9.5 mm height, it will work.
