I'm having the same problem. I'm in Queens on FiOS. I haven't try it yet but what about connecting to the interent by wired ethernet? Also the same problem on my PS Vita.

Staten Island here, ISP is FIOs and having the same problem. I can't update anything, this is just strange.

Is anybody having any luck getting patches to update? I haven't tried today and I almost don't even want to bother. Is anyone in the NY area having this problem on a different ISP?

No luck here either today. I've even tried opening the ports required for both the game I'm trying to update as well as the ports Sony gave me, to no avail. Out of curiosity, what games are everyone trying to update? For me, it's Borderlands 2 and I think I read somewhere on this forum that someone was having issues updating a 2k13 sports game of some sort. Could it be related to 2K and this area? Of course, I tried calling technical support, but they are closed today...

I can't update any game at all. Black Ops 2, I borrowed WWE 13 from someone just for kicks and that won't update. I popped in Arkham City that I've had for over a year and I 0can't download the update. It's every game, so I don't think it has anything to do with individual games. Outside of that one guy from Maryland, it seems like it's just people in this area who have FIOS.

If anyone else in the NY area is on a different ISP and having this problem, or if anyone on FIOS in another part of the country is noticing the same issue, chime in and let us know so we can figure out who to complain to.

how long will we have to wait for the problem to be fix?

Just got a body at PS3 tech support. They're aware of it and it's isolated to FIOS (aside from the one guy in Maryland) - The girl I spoke to said everyone who's called in has been on FIOS and having the same problem. The issue is that FIOS is having problems connecting to the game servers, which is why we can all get on PSN but we're not able to download updates.

They're working with Verizon to figure it out but they have no idea how long it's going to take. I'll give it until the end of the week and then I call Optimum.
