PS3 will not download an update

recently my ps3 will freeze while downloading an update it will randomly stop at any % and if i leave it a error code will come up "80130182" and it will scew up my router so that my laptop and ipod will not work on the wifi till i turn the router off and on again i tried updating ps home and little big planet but it did the same thing on both...

The Knowledge Base/Support Center has a tool that will identify the error code when you enter it and will give you the issue along with a list of troubleshooting solutions that you can use.

Do you have a static IP address setup for your PS3, computer and ipod? or are they all set to automatic? If you dont know then its probably set automatically.

one by one go through the KB/Support Center solutions and then report back.

Im willing to bet that if none of the solutions the KB has works for you, then possibly updating your routers firmware might be the end all fix for this issue

How long has this been happening? Did this issue happen before you had a PS3?

Try this I had the very same problem.

Go to

Settings

Network settings

Media server connection and dissable it.

Fixed my issue with that never had a problem since. For some reason when I went to update a game it would reset my router.

Check the router manufacturer's website for a software update for your router. Firmware updates can fix bugs and improve performance.

hi well i had this problem sort of where i was just starting to play an online game and my internet wasn't working. i wasn't even updating anything and when i try to sign in it just keeps saying suggested actions but i dont understand anything about it on what to do. i turned media server disbabled and nothing will happen! please help!
