PS3 or PS4?

8 replies 121 views Edited May 23, 2013

Was thinking of  getting a PS3 when I can, but should I go for it or wait until the PS4? If I go with the latter, I'd be waiting until the bugs are out of it and the price comes down to a sane level.

What are the pluses and minuses of a PS3? Been wondering on this one as well.

Thanks Smiley Happy.

What do you like about it, console wise?

Obviously, the PS4 wont have as many games as a system that has been out since 2007.

But the games that are getting both ps3 and ps4 releases will favor the 4 feature-wise. And may appear a little crisper graphically.

Obviosuly the Ps4 is more powerful than the Ps3 and will have a large HDD upon shipping.

As far as a "sane price" is concerned. I wouldnt expect the 4 to breach $500 for the standard package.

Wow. $500 is rather rich for my blood. Might decide on a PS3.

Saw a couple of packages out for it, really like the one at Target the most Smiley Happy

The only other one that I saw on there had a Mickey Mouse game with it. Noticed one with Assassin's Creed as well. But it seems as if the God of War one is the best in terms of the amount of games that come with it.

No one knows what the price will be but it's likely we'll find out at E3, June 10th.

Ah. Hopefully it'll be less than that. That's way too expensive O_O. If it's around $300 -- it would be more sane, but even then I'd be waiting until the price came down some more and until any bugs are worked out of it.

*update* Been checking around price wise about the PS3, so far Wal-Mart (of all places Smiley Tongue) and Target seem to have the best prices in terms of affordabilty.

Anyone have any suggestions of other places to check out (other than Game Stop and Best Buy) in terms of good pricing for the PS3?

Also, is the overheating issue been dealt with well enough, that it's worth getting one? Just curious.
