PS3 networking

13 replies 156 views Edited Apr 19, 2013

Hi there guys this is my first post on this forum so go easy

i am having some connection probelms with my ps3 and no one seems to know anything that can help me

i have a slim model playstation and an apple airport extreme router

they do not seem to like each other very much because i am able to connect to the router but not connect to PSN, play online games, or do anything that requires sony's servers.

i have tried cycling the router(leaving it off then turning it back on)

also forwarded ports in the routers settings

is there anything else that i can do or anyrhing that you guys have tried and worked?

anythig at this point is helpful

thanks alot in advance! Man Happy

If you set it up wireless with automatic settings does it say the same thing when you test the connection?

Yes it connects to everything (internet connection, PSN, then it does not give me a upload and download speed.
i exit out of that and then go to sign in. it lets me sign in, then i go to sync my trophies or go into the store and it logs me out and says there is an error

Wired connections are alot better for gaming but I understand when the need for wireless because of how far the the system is away from the modem. Have you looked on youtube searching for your router to see if someone has a video to help? You might need to give your internet provider a call to help with the wireless setup
