You can speed up load times slightly by switching your HDD out for a SSD.  But that's about it.

And if you are talking about PSN, switch to a wired connection. PS3 isn't all that great using WIFI for a couple reasons. First problem is Wireless G. You could have problems using an N router. Second problem is the location of the antennas. There are fixes for this on youtube but I perfer being wired instead of taking my console apart for the fix.

I am hardwired I have an all-in-one router modem combo think that's could be part of the problem through infinity

Do you have your router set to DMZ? If not, your problem could be closed ports.
