PS3 freezes and shuts down?

I was playing my PS3 for about 2 hours when it suddenly froze and shut itself down. It is the first gen PS3 that ive had for 4 years. I was playing COD: Black Ops when it froze. Now whenever i try to turn on the PS3, it shuts itself off after a few minutes

Uh Oh. I wouldn't know for sure, but it sounds like it's overheating.

My fat PS3 did the exact same thing while playing Black ops. Then like about 2 days later I got the YLOD...

My ps3 (1st gen) went down by itself as well, what the hell is going on? It is not overheating, I am sure of that since I do not use it for long periods, a virus? Psn hacked again? Sony shutdown? Who knows, hopefully my ps3 works again, otherwise I have to buy an xbox or a wii, difficult choice, damn!

Same thing happened to my first gen. I called sony and they say it has nothing to do with their software. It was just a coincidence that it happened ten minutes after I finished downloading the 3.61 patch. They want $187 to fix it, so I told them I'll go buy an Xbox instead. I am sick to death of Sony, no customer service whatsoever.
