PS3 error (8002f14E)

11 replies 2602 views Edited Sep 13, 2009
OK I have a 60gb that i got in december after launch, about a month ago it got YLOD, so i took it all apart and stuck the motherboard in the oven for 10mins at 425f, I put new thermal paste on it and it fixed it. I went to my account to download 3.00, but after it gets to 61% it says error (8002f14E) then it shuts down my ps3. Now every time I turn it on it goes straight to the download screen and tries to download it, but once again it stops at 61%. I can't do anything on it becuase of it. Would getting a new hardrive work? anybody know anything about this?

Try reseating the hdd.  If that doesn't work, call Sony.

Yeah.  I've never seen it work but Sony suggests it so it's worth a shot.

I think i've got a better idea.  What you should do is go to your settings and reset you date and time. Everything should work after that. There seems to be a problem with the date. Just update and you're good to go. Oh this solves the Netflix problem too.
