Sure. I get a similar problem on my Samsung. It's one of the first generation of LED TV's and it had this cool little setting buried in one of the menus called "Game Mode". Long story short (Google Samsung to game mode) when I have game mode enabled I get a pure, instantaneous signal from my ps3. But if I turn off game mode I get this clever frame-inventing mode that makes movies much smoother but adds a nasty lag to games. I'd imagine one of your 2 tv's has something similar and hopefully it can be disabled.
The Hitachi TV has a lot more signal processing and image enhancements, and is taking more time to display the image on the screen than the Vizio.
Look for game modes, disable 120hz, disable any enhancements and try to have as little extras on as possible.
That is a beautiful thing to say on the internet.
For anyone who may read this in the future and still cannot figure out the problem, keep reading. --(3) is the answer.
The reason you are having this issue is not Sony's fault. There is no way they would test their system on every television in every household in America. Which makes a few things true.
1) You are not the only one having this problem, so stop freaking out.
2) You rely to much on the internet to solve life's problems.
3) You need to scour the advanced video settings on your television, turning off anything that seems unnecessary until it functions properly.
