Yes!!!! They fixed my PS3 when Endless Electronics said that they couldn't!!! Well worth the time and money! EE sent mine back without pads in it and left my original PS3 disc in the Blueray player and gave me a COD3 disc and said that this was the disc in the player. They flat out lied to me (tried to bamboozle me I think).
I wouldn't use EE even if they were the last company on earth!

Probably in part to your experience, EE has changed a lot. Their BBB rating is now the same as Gophermods (A-), and there a plenty of satisfied customers testimonials on their Facebook page. I even had to use EE to fix my YLOD, last October, and had no problems.
I think Gophermods continued issue is the waiting list to even get reball service...

Had my PS3 fixed by a third-party local shop here in Florida called rsolpc.com that also accept mail-in repairs. I first dealt with them years ago for a bluray problem. Had them do the procedure called "re-ball" to fix the YLOD. They gave me pictures of the process on my actual console so I know for certain I wasn't buying an overpriced "reflow" procedure. Turnaround was about a week.

RSOLPC certainly seems like a good alternative for reballing, if you have never opened up your PS3.
If you never opened up your PS3, RSOLPC gives you a lifetime labor warranty (simular to Endless Electronic's YLOD lifetime warranty), otherwise you only get a 30 day warranty...
