yes actually have a frend has one , and we both agree prefering the slim over it , but honestly i would love it if sony did a throwback thng n sold the first model as a 500gb wit the spider man font writing, tht system was truly amazing looking , it wod b cool if they reproduced it for a limited time.

the only flimsy part is the sliding door for the drive. everything else is more or less the same

Why would anyone buy one when you can still get the other slim model?

Well I bought the 500GB model with the Assissin's Creed III game. I love the new look and size, it's well worth the $300.00 price for me.![]()

* The superslim is smaller
* You can't get a disc stuck inside
* Easier to clean the BD drive lens
* Should be cheaper to repair

i am liking mine, I got the Uncharted/Dust bundle. I've had it maybe a week or two and while I don't game as much as I used to, I've played enough to form an opinion.
Coming from a YLOD 40gig, this is quite the improvement. I don't really see anything to complain about. Plays games just the same, seems like it will overheat less, and just seems like there is less to go wrong.
Most complaints seem to be from a visual standpoint, and something like that is just personal preference....I think it looks just fine.
