PS3 RESTORE

its said my ps3 hard drive was corrupt and told me to restore and i did but it freezes around 11%

and when i got to the recovery menu i did restore settings and i waited for ever .. left my ps3 on for 24 hours

finnally i gave up.
NEED HELP

Sounds like your hdd has become corrupted/died

 

 

you can try to "revive" the hdd by putting it in a PC and running a particular scan disk program that drudgingly scans your hard drive for errors and attempts to fix them. Its a long process but it works, especially for older hard drives.

 

If the program runs and it fixes all the errors, then pop it into the PS3 and see if it'll work...... if it gets stuck again, then you'll have to buy a new hdd
