ok so i have a sony bravia tv. This one to be precise ......

http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=...

and so i dont know if it supports the PS3 Full HDMI setting. I have looked online and ran some tests but when i turn the brightness up to meet the tv settings some of the quality is better like colors and stuff but the picture ends up having less shadows and more bright and in some inctances the bright objects look a little brighter with less shadows.

Here is the guide i found on google  http://www.nicolaspeople.com/ch3rokeesblog/?p=16

i thought it would help but im only more confused... should i leave it at Full or Limited. With limited the brightness is 50 and with full its 60.

thanks

I would set it to "Full" and then just use the canned "Vivid" setting. That's just me though.

The Full setting doesn't work well on HDTV's, especially TV's that arent calibrated properly. What it deos is gives the display a wider spectrum of blacks, which usually washes out the other colors and makes the screen overall too dark.  The setting was designed for use with high resolution monitors, so keep it set to Limited if you're using a standard HDTV.
