Woaw my boy you got guts my man haha : )
To remove the excess heat spred or heat sink thermo paste yada yada yada... i herd you need to use rubbing alcohol I THINK and then you get something like a credit card to spread more Heat sink, thermo paste yada yada yada...
You know what i mean. I think its rubbing alcohol man but you really should have the proper tools i had a Heat gun with me when i tried to fix my PS3 40gb and i kinda forgot what it was for any way my point being its a complicated progress are you sure your doing everything as instructed properlly from your source?
At first it did YLOD right when I turned it on and I was like **bleep**!
But then I remembered I forgot to plug the blu ray player back in so I did that and thought that would help, but it didn't. Still got the YLOD, ergo death.....
You are all invited to the funeral.
DANG man i hate to hear that after all the work you went threw...there had to have been a bad solder under that chip and when you removed that heatspreader the little force must had just finished it off if everything else was done right...sometimes these things happen and it sucks donkey balls.....you can always check out www.endlesselectronics.org as they can reball that gpu and make it like new again....
I told you bro it was not worth the time.
You should had just given up on it i knew there was no chance for it to succeed just i dont know buy a new one or something fixing it is no go jo!!
Sorry for your umm... loss
