PS3 Controller Lights Flashing Slowly

1 replies 157 views Edited Nov 24, 2012

I have searched and searched and searched about this and have found nothing.

Recently, my PS3 controller stopped working.  When unplugged from the PS3, it won't do anything.  NOTHING.  I have tried holding the PS button, pressing the PS button shortly, resetting the controller, everything.

When it is plugged in to the PS3, all four red LEDs flash, slowly.  Not rapidly.  SLOWLY.  All at the same time.  If I press or hold the PS button, nothing happens.  I have tried resetting it while it is plugged in as well.  The lights eventually stop flashing.

I have no where else to go.  SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!  What is wrong?

Thanks in advance,

I figured it out! After 6 hours of searching and fiddling with the inner workings of my controller, I finally figured it out.

There is a little foam piece that keeps a number of circuits connected with the main motherboard, and this had fallen off. I simply replaced it with some foam from a Nerf dart and BOOM! It is working perfectly again!
