Actually, due to my eyes I cannot see the effect of the 3DS well. The 3DS relies on precisely beaming the light to specific eyeballs to create a 3D effect.

My optometrist and glasses shop actually said that my pupils are spread farther apart than normal and I had to get my lenses and glasses frames custom made. I'm thinking that the positions of my pupils messes with how I percieve the 3D screen because I need to have it right up my face (approx. 6in) to see anything remotely 3D.

And since I hold my handhelds resting on my lap, I won't ever see the 3D effect. So yeah....

Trust me, you aren't missing anything. There's a reason why Nintendo sorta went back on their wordby saying that not every game needs to feature 3D. It was a gimmick that caused more head aches (literally speaking, you can't play and stare at it for long) than it gave benefits to the gaming experience~.

Re: PS vita vs nintedo 3DS??

[ Edited ]

I've had a Vita and 3DS day one.

With the vita selling bundles for $200 on black friday, i recommend that.

I'm struggling to find a 3DS game i enjoy.

Super Mario 3D Land was bland, I have no interest to play New Super Mario Bros 2, Kid Icarus had awful controls and no depth, Ocarina of Time was just a port, Push Mo was alright. I only really liked Pokemon White 1 & 2, but those are DS games! although, animal crossing looks amazing!

I've enjoyed Lumines, Uncharted, Sound Shapes, Gravity Rush more than any 3DS game. I have Medievil and The Legend of Dragoon. Zero Escape and Ragnarok Odysee, Assassin's Creed are awesome. Playstation All Stars, Killzone, Soul Sacrafice look amazing.

Re: PS vita vs nintedo 3DS??

NSMB2 is awful in the fact that is more of the same. If you found SML3D bland, you'd hate NSMB2. RE:Revelations, KH: DDD, Code of Princess, Professor Layton are all great games. The biggest problem the 3DS has is that the AAA games still have to make it outside of Japan~.

The PSV on the other hand, has begun building a solid library in the West but still has to pick up momentum in the East. October alone saw plenty of releases whereas Japan only saw a few, probably why sale numbers keep dropping every week (in Japan)~.

Another thing is that the 3DS came with full backward compatibility whereas the PSV and PSP is still pending~.

The 3DS in this moment is really good it has a solid libray not to mention that alot of the ports that the psv has come from the 3ds, the psp was good since the start and even better when it was hacked, that boost the psp system sales in almost 100%.

Sony blame the piracy for the support of the system,  but the true is that the DS and the 3DS are easier to hack that any psp, and nintendo is still going strong. Nintendo know how to manage the company while sony keep dropping the ball.

Im sorry but saying that u have to wait for the ps4 to the psvita succeed is pure bs, the console market is more competitive every year and by the time that the PS4 arrive, the steam box (valve) is probably going to arrive too, so thats more competition.

In the meanwhile the psvita schedule  for next year is very  weak . pretty much another "launch year", 2 or 3 good titles then a 6 /7 months empty gap.

Like i said before, the VITA is not even a year old.

All console and handheld system start slow, if cant be patience, then sell you're VITA and get self something else.

eh? fanboy? thanks for the compliment:smileylol:
Calling me fanboy because you dont have any patient on the VITA.  Last time i check  Nintendo 3DS was also slow at the start.
And why are taking about pros and cons,  all you did was write about the 3DS  vs PSP  game library and the hacking.

He also made a list of pros and cons for the 3DS and PSV, it's just on two different posts from the ones you quoted~.

@Doppelgangergang

Ohh man that sucks, but like juanmdp says yo aren't missing anything beyond especial.

@magicx11

The write about the Ds and psp was just to point that sony has no excuse to blame piracy for his fails and lack of support because nintendo could do the same in that case.

i Dont have patient ? no offense but do you understand what u read or you miss that class ?, until you have something interesting to say or write something coherent, im not going to keep wasting my time with a person that only read between lines.

Re: PS vita vs nintedo 3DS??

LMAo the ds mainly sells to kids in daycares, every kid in my daughters daycare and elementary school has one. When it comes to game i find the vita to be way superior with persona, Gravity rush, Most wanted, Madden, better  features, and online options. For core gamers the vita ia an amazing system, ds like most nintendo products is grossly overrated.

Who release a handheld today only to have to release an horrible second analod attachm,ent due to a major design flaw? Nintendo putting out the same games since 1998,.
