I imagine the dev kit would be quite expensive. Normally a dev kit comes with some software discs, a manual on how to make your games for the system, maybe a few other manuals, and a debug version of the console, along with (at least in a couple cases) a special cable to plug it into a computer for easy program access. I would expect at least $500-$700 because of the software.
But to this whole thread...and I know this is crazy...why not just use the PS3 controller keyboard? I have one. Works great. Clips onto my controller.
why cant pairing with bluetooth turn it to a touchscreen remote... and the clip on keyboard costs money if people bought a vita (i preorfer) why make us spend money on a old clip on keyboard.... great idea i was just thinking same thing google led me here but not too a soulotion...... you guys dont think that sony already thought of this just dont wanna make it...??
Just send your messages via the msg app. I feel it way more convenient since you don't have to pull up the XMB. More like a "secondary screen" for communication. I've done this while playing CoD. Instead of waiting for the XMB to load right when the map is loading I just simply type my msg on my Vita and send it before the game starts.
Anyway, the use of the Vita's screen as a PS3 keyboard seems like a good idea, but can't you just buy the dang keyboard for it? lol
