PS Vita Memory cards actual sizes?

4 replies 490 views Edited Sep 6, 2012

Does anyone know the actual size of the PS Vita memory cards? I have a 16gig, but only 14 shows up. How much do you really get with the 32gig?

That's how all storage works. Part of the storage (typically 10%) is used for system data (the ability to save in the first place)

That`s not all of it though. The GB written on the packaging is on a scale of 1000 bytes = 1 Kb instead of 1024 bytes = 1 Kb, which is how the computer reads it.

True, but that only accounts for a small margin.

For example, on a 32 GB Card, 32,000/1024=31.25, and a 32GB card has only 29.8GB storage. So the majority of "missing" storage is due to the reason I listed.
