They aren't gonna drop the price soon. Even with the tough times they are going through right now.
or, they could announce a monster hunter game and quickly port one of the old ones. I feel like all of sony's woes with the vita could have been solved by giving the Monster hunter team early acess to the vita and paying them to have a monster hunter game ready for launch. If there was a launch monster hunter bundle the vita would have outsold most human necessities in japan.
Like the article states, I think the price drop is likely to occur in the fall...
I'm thinking of getting a smart phone soon..
it's either PS VITA vs. Samsung Galasy S II ( or maybe III)
**already have 2 psps.. currently just watching anime on them.. so vita really have to standout from the android phone that i'm going to buy.. if not then there's no ready to get 2 different items ..
I think it makes far for sense in the fall, because that is when the more high profile titles are likely to be release, and a hardware price cut will help build upon that.
I plan to get a smart phone too, but I don't like the high cost data plans. I am going to go with Republic Wireless where I can buy an Android phone for less than $200, and the monthly rates ("unlimited" data/minutes/text) for only $19/month. They are still in Beta, but are opening it up to more users...
I'm also going to wait on Costco to sell the Vita before purchasing. It is strange that Costco.com initially suggested that they would carry the Vita, and then never did. I'm sure this will change by this fall...
I want to wait for a price drop before buying the Vita. I want a 16 GB memory card at least but that would add up another $60 dollars so it would cost over $300 dollars and plus a game would add more to the cost. The Vita is expensive. I want a price drop. I at least want them to cut $50 dollars from the price. lol
You know you can save money faster than waiting for a fifty dollar price drop. That is why I saved months in advanced and still have money left over to buy 3 or so games. Maybe it is just me who can save frugally. It is not the system that is expensive it is the memory cards they need to do a 35% knockoff.
