Online Pass Question

When you purchase Hot Shots Golf World Invitational, Resistance Burning Skies or Unit 13 do those games come with online passes in them? I'm asking because I seriously hope so because I keep seeing people on Amazon and YouTube complaining that they bought the aforementioned games but sometimes there were no Online Passes in their packages even though the software cases were supposed to be new and unopened. I've also seen some people saying that if an online pass isn't inside your game case you can "buy one in the PSN Store" and I'm not satisfied with that. If I'm buying a game it is only fair to the customer that the Online Pass be in the case. I'm not going to spend extra money just to download a pass code that could have been put inside my game case.

Heck, my sister bought Assassin's Creed III for her XBOX and it had the online pass code printed on the back of the download code sheet for her pre-order bonus. I would have thought Sony would do something similar.

Re: Online Pass Question

Yeah, those games have online pass vouchers inside the cases. Though what they may be complaining about is that they didn't have to download anything and thus believe that they didn't get it when in reality the online pass is attached to your account as opposed to being downloaded. Which with all things considered is a smart move. You can't play online without being signed into PSN anyways so it has the added bonus of preventing others from getting an online pass off of torrent sites and stuff.

Thanks so much! I was really worried about that. But yes, Woah! That's is a smart move. Sony really thought that one through and it's  really a good strategic move because some sly, dishonest folks would definitely be trying to download from torrent sites.

I also think that online passes are also a smart move because Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft along with other companites such as Ubisoft, Square Enix and Naughty Dog are all switching over to Online Passes which helps to curb and eliminate the used game market. I buy stuff from GameStop but I NEVER buy used systems nor software. I like to buy games and computers brand spanking new and I think that the used game market undercuts companies and encourages kids to think that everything is expendable and oh lets go trade it in now but when I was growing up we never would have imagined trading in our beloved systems and games because we were collecting them as treasured stuff; trophies if you will. I love to collect the disc, manuels, cases and all that stuff which is also why I refuse to download games and stuff from the online digital stores such as iTunes App Store and Steam.
