New PSN store ALWAYS freezes

I just tried to access the new store four times and it froze my system every time. I'll navigate the menus for a little while and then eventually, everything just stops loading. For example, I go to the 'welcome' section and there's just nothing there on the right side of the screen. I go to the games section, and the loading icon pops up and just stays there. When I try to quit the store, the xmb just says "please wait" and my system freezes. Is it just me or is anybody else having this issue?

My PS3 froze the first time I tried to use the new store after it updated. This was before I even downloaded the new store.

 

The next time I tried, it downloaded successfully and seemed to work for the few minutes I used it.  I'm on firmware 4.31.

 

Most PS3 freezes are network related, so make sure your network is okay.
