Netflix app problem, I'M SIGNED ON THE WRONG ACCOUNT

39 replies 5100 views Edited Oct 21, 2010

It repeatedly signs me on someone named Penny's account, when I already have my own account under MY name, Nick.

Also, delete the Netflix app, and game data dont do anything. How do I sign in on my own account?

You would normally have to sign in with an email address & password, so I am surprised that you are getting this error.

Hold the Start and select buttons in when loading the app. Maybe this will correct the issue.

Yeah i noticed i didn't have to sign in either.

I deleted my disc information during the weekend, because this was coming..

But for some reason it didn't ask me to sign in nor activate my ps3.

So they must be linked to the psn some how now.

Strange stuff going on.  When I saw the Netflix app icon I deleted the Netflix Streaming Disc data in my BD Data folder, then downloaded the app.  The first time I started it I was immediately prompted for my Netflix username and password.

I've tried deleting the same Netflix Game Utility Data a million times, but it keeps signing me in the wrong account. I had already deleted the BD Data fpr it too, but it' still not working correctly.

Why is there no upfront Sign-in and Sign-out? =_=

This is really starting to bug me, dont release something if you cant properly login and out of it.

I am assuming you mean the BD Data folder, since there is no Netflix game data.  Anyway, did you try deleting the whole folder?

If that doesn't work then you are going to want to contact Netflix, since it appears that your account is crossed up with someone else's.

Re: Netflix app problem, I'M SIGNED ON THE WRONG ACCOUNT

I am having this same issue. I just created a Netflix account today and now cannot sign into it. A few months ago my cousin decided to load his Netflix dvd into my PS3 and while I get the log in screen I can typ ein anyhing and still get his Account. I have tried deleteing the BD Utility Data, the Game Utility Date because there is a Netflix icon there and even the program itself. My next thought was that somehow his Netflix account was linked to my PSN account but I found no options about this.

So I am totally stumped. I have no clue how to solve this. I sent Support a message, but I feel they will just tell me I used the wrong category.
