Need to change my region on PSN

19 replies 2034 views Edited Mar 21, 2007
I bought and registered my PS3 in Hong Kong (was over there for 3 months with work), but am now back in Australia and want to change my region to Australia. I've read some of these forums and some people seem to be able to do it, others have problems. Is there a definitive method to do this? Can I reset my PS3 and start again?

Thanks

Go to <Friends> <Account Management> <edit your account information>.

Done.

EDIT: Sorry my mistake. You can't change your country/region using this method I'm afraid.

Looks like the only way is to create a new user. That will mean you'll need a new online handle too.

You can change it without having to make new name:

1.Sign in under user you want to change.
2. Hit triangle while on that name and a menu will pop up.
3. Click on the Account Management.
4. Then click Account Information.
5. Click Edit Residential Address.
6. Put in your users password.
7. Change address and region  & save .

THAT'S IT!

GOOD LUCK!

They would have to click on the STORE  to access it. As long as they are on the PSN they will be able to go to the store in their region.

It's too bad you don't actually know what you're talking about...

There is no end user accessible option to change your country without making a new account. Maybe if you contact Sony, they can do something, but there's no certainty there...

I have the same issue as I want to login to the US store for downloadedable games. I have created another account but you need a valid US address or it won't progress the request. I have a US PS3. I'll have to speak to the inlaws and see if I can use there address in the states.
