Nationality PSN

15 replies 203 views Edited Nov 5, 2012

Heyy. Question:

Can people who I add on my friends list see my nationality somehow??

Like I have somebody on my friends list, how can I see where he's from? If he didn't put his location on his profile.. Is there a way to see

I don't think you can on the xmb, but I think you can with some games online when you play with other people.

A lot of 3rd party trophy sites show the person's nationality.  For example, http://psntrophyleaders.com/ and http://psnprofiles.com/ are sites I've checked out before.  Of course, it only shows the country they registered the account with, which may not be accurate.

They can see the language choice from your profile on XMB.

That will give them the first clue. If you are from only one location you will only pick 1 language.

As others have posted the Account location will be shown in games and on PSN trophy card with are viewable on the Net.

Any data base from the games that also are online will show a location flag.

In GAMES the location short code will display after Your PSN tag.

Others give the info Freely as they get bored of replying to that same old question.

What country are you from?..... reply = guess from the last 2 letters in the PSN ID.

They can only find out the country you registered an account with (which for most accounts would be accurate).  Language is less significant, but could be helpful.  So if you make up info, they'll only know where you're actually from if you tell them.

Not everyone is on those sites, but you can add anyone just by typing their ID; it doesn't need a password or anything (though it's an option to create an account).
