dude im having the same problem. im kinda pissed off. is there any actually real Moderators that read these forums and reply to these posts? because i would really like a good, official answer to this question. every other Move game i play i simply press the PS button on the motion controller, it sets to a number, and i put the Move based game in my PS3 and start playing. or i simply press the PS button on the motion controller, than press the PS button on my navigation controller, it assigns perfectly on it's own to a number set and i start playing my game. but for NBA 2K12 it seems like it is not even an option to use the Move. the box says that NBA 2K12 is PSMove Compatible, but there are no signs of movement or menu scolling in-game. help me out please.

I have been looking at this forum post for weeks looking for an answer myself.
The thing you guys and unfortunately me as well, were missing is the upper part
of the game where it says its move compatible. Look at Killzone 3 or Resistance 3,
they both have the 1 move controller, 1 navi controller, and 1 camera pictured.
When you look at Child Of Eden's "move compatible", it pictures only 1 move controller
and 1 camera, no nav. Look at NBA2k12 and it shows you it needs 2 move controllers
and 1 camera present, no navi.
That should basically sum it up, right? Wrong, you can only use move controlling devices
when you choose "NBA on the MOVE" in the game menu and it only allows two players.
When you play the actual mode though, you regret wasting your time trying to figure out
how to make it all work and pick up your sixasis anyway. Hope that helped guys.

I tried everything, it just doesn't work. It makes absolutely no sense when there is an E3 video demo with Kobe using the move to play NBA 2K12!
And i got the Move just for this game!

First, you must calibrate on the home screen. Next, start the game, and go to the NBA on the Move game option. You must have two players. Pick your teams. When you advance, it will have you calibrate the move controller. The Eye must be to wide angle, and you must be in front of the TV. Each time it asks yo to press X, hold it down. It will then have you point to different areas of the screen, and press X. That will calibrate the first controller. You must then repeat with the second.
As an earlier poster mentioned, it's not much fun with the Move. We switched back to using the 6-axis.
