NAT TYPE

Recently I was having a conversation with one of SEN employees and he talked about port forwarding. While doing some research I was reading about NAT TYPE. My question is: if I'm getting nat type 1 or 2 do I need to also forward ports?

Generally no you do not, unless of course you're having some issue with online gaming etc.
