I doubt they will waste their time with that since the Vita can connect via Wifi to PCs and PS3s.

That's possible, maybe they are waiting for the PS3 console reveal! or maybe just like the anothery guy said a video out.

No it's for the ps4. It's going to be a cord for the ps4 so you can stream serious graphics onto your vita

Going with the demo where the streaming video was connected to the bottom of the system, I was thinking that the charging port could also be used for a/v out. Unless they wanted to just be special and make it so you can't use a regular jack to charge or transfer data, like they did with the memory cards and games.

there will never be a video output for the Vita..i have been inside them and none of these ports are capable of doing it....there was some special DEV units that did but none of these current models available have that option..

The dev kit models have an HDMI slot on the bottom. It wasn't the charging port you saw.

It is most likely a AV out or a Rumble unit.

What else could it be?

PS1~PS2~PS3~PSP~PS Vita~Dreamcast.
