My ps3 keeps freezing and the data keeps corrupting, I have restored the file system multiple time, formatted both through safe mode and through the system options. I have done full restores and partial restores, no problems have occurred with the system up until approximately 3 days ago when the data started corrupting. I have a ps3 slim 320 gb bought approximately one year four months ago. I'm just wondering what the possible causes/solutions for this problem?

im kinda in the same boat but my datas not geting currupted or atleast its not showing it thanks to the timer in one of my games i have figured out it freezes around 1 to 10 minutes when every i start hitting the buttons alot i noticed this because i play 3 movies with no problems but in movies u dont push the buttons as much as u do in games.i have also notice the freezes started about a day after one of my ps3 online games whent through a update when i treid to delet the game it took 5 mins then my screen froze with purple colored lines of programing code it looked worse than the other freezes i think i found my problem but if it doesnt work im open to suggestions

upgrade the hdd..... sounds like the hdd is starting to die
