Funny...I have a fatboy 40g CECHG01 model (worked BRILLIANTLY for years...and now Im having issues.)
It seems like after a few weeks from installing 4.21

Alot of people are noticing system failures, such as freezing and the sort.

I have NEVER...EVER...EVER! heard of BR based games having trouble being played until 4.21 installment.

Ive done all the safe mode options from 2 - 5

Ive reformatted (31GB / 37GB <---this is a lil odd.  6GB for system Cache? psh)

Ive checked my games out on friends ps3's (newer models...and ive owned a few games for, well...years and no issues til now)

Tried installing a game earlier - Stalled at 24% for about 1/2 an hr.

Tried ejecting, nothing.  Quit game, ejected within 6 seconds. 

So, before my PS3 becomes a useless brick - gonna keep it as my all around DVD/CD/CD-RW player.

Gaming?  Doesnt look like that's gonna happen anytime soon.

I have gotten a new ps3 awhile ago. I wished I would have waited because the ps3 is white and have a 500 gigabite hard drive !!!! Oh well I guess.

Well the only thing that i would do it is that it has a 500 gigabyte harddrive and i think a year of playstation plus. But i also saw on amazon that there are also a red and blue unit imported from japan.
