I have a Sony Refurbished 40GB PS3 (CECHH01) I purchased at my local Gamestop 39 days ago and it's still going strong with the current firmware 3.40 I updated a few days ago.

UPDATE: Traded my Refurbished 40GB PS3 into the new 120GB PS3 slim using the $200 trade-in offer at Gamestop. Had it trade it cause I'm afraid that the 40GB might yellow light on me soon.
