When I was in 10th grade in high school, the PSP had just come out and was getting incredibly popular. Being a lover of video games, especially PlayStation and handheld games, I was dying to get my hands on one. However, my parents deemed them too expensive to get and I had to settle for playing with the ones my friends owned.
At the same time, I was taking a Chemistry Regents class, and doing poorly. The material was too difficult for me and I stopped trying. As a result, I got a 64 for a marking period, which was my lowest grade for any class at the time. Disappointed in my grade, but determined to see me succeed, my father made a deal with me. Seeing as I had been asking for a PSP constantly, he knew how much I wanted one and made me the following deal:
If I could get a 90 for the next marking period, he would buy me a brand new PSP.
Needless to say, I was determined. For the next few works, I worked harder than I ever had before. I had to get one of those amazing PlayStation Portables of my very own. The end of the marking period came, and when grades came in, my Chemistry marking period was EXACTLY 90. I was thrilled. My Dad never thought I could actually have pulled it off, but I suprised my parents and ended up getting the PSP at the end of that week.
I loved the system until I day I sold it to buy my PlayStation Vita, which remains to this day my favorite gaming system I own!

One of those hand helds that we should not under estimate the genius that brought the idea of UMD's should be awarded greatly. While vita moves on to its next source the game cartridge which is also that of pure genius in my belief it will knock the nintendo 3ds out of the yard. As 3ds is highly difficult for your eyes vita is just right. In my belief the power of the PSP will last a life time as games like GTA are brilliant remastered and little to none different than the ps2 versions. As far as apple goes PSP has versions of apple games that are great in retail like hero of sparta and nova bring PSN to the future. What will Playstation bring to us hereafter as the vita takes hold onto the future of gaming?
