I didn't see any demonstrations of remote play with the Vita. The Wipeout Vita/PS3 demonstration was to show off the cross play functionality between a PS3 and the Vita playing a game against each other, but each had their own separate games (Wipeout HD on the PS3 & Wipeout 2048 on the Vita).

From what I saw Uncharted was playing separately on the Vita & Uncharted 3 was being demonstrated right behind in on the 3D PS Display. AFAIK the Uncharted games didn't have any remote play functionality...

I didn't get to play and only got a quick look at what was going on (since it wasn't playable or on display yet) but I figured that that would have been it but host said otherwise. But who can trust host when I know more than they do about the console.

I did play everything there, and what I described before is what is going on. You'll see that when you return.

What you have described definately sounds like the attendents are aren't fully aware what the Vita does or can do. Like I said they are likely temps hired by a marketing agency. They just give the "impression" that they work for SCEA. I know they operate events like this because my sister was hired by one to be part of the Nintendo Street Team years ago, and I sat in on their "training". It was cursory at best.

No that is the game card and accessory port, the memory card goes at the bottom.

@CaptainHuggyface it has to go somewhere since in japan if you stop paying 3G service and you want to reactivate it you have to get another sim card. it is a crazy thing I know but it is what was announced over there. I doubt they would give you another ps vita.

Are you sure about that because in the US if you choose to jump in and out of 3G usage you just pay for a new usage card and I guess you just register the amount to your account. In this situation there is no need to change the SIM card so it could be internal like the battery.

@CaptainHuggyface that is what the report said sadly for japan. different area different rules.  read it your self link below.

http://www.1up.com/news/3g-vita

"As part of the campaign, after the free prepaid test period, you'll be able to update to either the other prepaid or the monthly plan," Takada added. "It's worth noting that a lot of people think plans can only be updated for the two weeks after the usage period experies. In fact, you can update your plan anytime after beginning use, so for example, once you purchase 100 hours, that can be updated for up to 194 days after the initial purchase."

If you do let your prepaid contract expire, though, you're in trouble -- in Japan, you'll have to spring for a new SIM card from DoCoMo, to the tune of 2100 yen. "An expired SIM card is considered no longer part of a contract," Urakawa explained, "so it cannot be recovered and you will need to change over to a new UIM card. If you think you'll be using the service regularly across the half-year period, it would be best to continue with the 100-hour plan."

Accessories....... (Sorry it had to be said ).

We do not know yet although there was a tantalising hint in another thread where someone was told by a Sony rep that they hope third parties would release an HDMI adaptor (but then that Sony rep (hired booth babe/dude) did not know some basic facts about the PSVita so is it true we do not know).

This accessory port is not mentioned on any of the tech spec sheets I have seen, I hope it makes it to final production. It has been said that only developer units have HDMI out. Does this socket look like anything you know of or is it proprietry?
