Multitasking and Developer customization confirmed

7 replies 13 views Edited Aug 24, 2011

As you can see in the picturre below, the icons at the top represent the programs that are running on the psvita. Wipeout is Higlighted Which means that it is currently being used, and I'm guessing you can tap one of the icons to switch between programs. Also as you can see in this gallery...(http://www.destructoid.com/elephant/photo-m.phtml?photo_key=193924&post_key=209288) The developers can customize how they want their live area page to look for their game. Each game has its own unique page, and the developers can add links to different pages of the ps store and maybe even websites and places in a game. It also seems like theres a manual button, a button to search about the game,  and a refresh button to see if anything new comes up, either by the developers, or by one of your freinds could have acheived something.

It's only showing 3/4 of the photo, click it to see the rest.

That seems like it will be very useful, just hope it doesn't slow the system down or anything when you're playing games...

The psvita has 512mb ( way more than ps3) for a reason. And it seems like you can do a maximum of 6 different things at once because I haven't seen anymore than 6 icons at the top

6 things are more than enough, I could have easily settled with 3... not that I'm complaining. 512 mb is about as powerful as my computer

Now I am become Death... Destroyer of Worlds.

Yea the most I'd be doing is browsing the web, canceling out the games music and listening to my own, and chatting on party.

Bingo, you don't really need more than 3, except... if you want to play 2 games at ONCE . Though I doubt that they'll pull it off.

Looks cool.  Hopefully we'll get to see some video of PS Vita multitasking at work.
