I changed mine last night to try and master the steering, note I said try, I put mine back to default today but the option is there.

I love this game I would have purchased this game being free is a bonus. Just keep trying and trying getting better but it taking time

This game needs a community playground.  That would be fun.

Re: Motorstorm RC: You Get What You Paid For

This thread is up to four pages so I didn't read all the way through so forgive me if I repeat.

The controls drove me nuts at first as the throttle was on the right and the steering on the left until I found that I could change what each button does.

Once I put the throttle on the left and the steering on the right it feels "correct" to me.

I've never been the greatest gamer in the world, more of a fair weather guy but I am enjoying the game and have high hopes of future DLC that may arise.  What DLC they do have is very cheap and I am hoping to pick up a couple different cars over the weekend.  At $.49 ea. I can't complain too much.

I also had same dilemma, then I changed the steering to the 'D' pad, gas on Right bumper, brake on Left bumper; changed the camera view, now I can pretty much navigate my way around the tracks.

After playing in alternative mode in the sandbox, I am going to turn around and say the controls are much easier now.

I play with Alternate Settings, Steering and Gas/Brake on the analog sticks, and offset camera angle (The one that shows you what's in front of you) and the controls are great. The game is really fun! I might buy the PS3 version.

I love the game it's quite fun and different from the conventional MotorStorm which I enjoy too.  The controls in regular are fine and I got used to them right away.  I like it better then pressing a button down, I think that's why people hate them.  It gives you more control to slow down a bit and cut a turn better.  It's free so I really can't complain...
